President SCCI junaid Altaf chaired an important meeting with Consul General Thomas Eckert and Economic Officer Ms. Kathelen Giblisco U.S. Consulate General Peshawar to deliberate on broadening the scope of economic cooperation between the United States and Pakistan. Discussions centered on exploring new avenues for investment, supporting business-to-business connectivity, facilitating people-to-people linkages, promoting industrial collaboration, and advancing mutually beneficial bilateral trade relations. The meeting further highlighted opportunities for sector-specific partnerships and knowledge exchange to empower the regional business landscape. President SCCI Junaid Altaf attended the ceremony held in Islamabad under the chair of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi regarding the transfer of shares of Meeran Block. During the briefing, it was shared that 49% of the shares will be held by OGDCL and 51% by KPOGCL. The initiative is expected to boost oil and gas exploration, attract new investment, and create opportunities for local employment, business development, and industrial growth in the province.

Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with eShifa Home Health to facilitate home healthcare services for SCCI members and their dependents. Under this partnership, eShifa will provide a range of services including Home Laboratory Services, Home Rehabilitation Services, Home Nursing Services, and Fouree Mashwara (online consultation). The agreement also offers discounts ranging from 5% to 15% on selected services and extends access to eShifa collection centers located in Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad, Skardu, Gilgit, and other cities. Vice President Sabir Ahmed Bangash and Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan were also present on the occasion.

President SCCI, Junaid Altaf , attended the National Day of Thailand & the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great – Thailand’s Father of the Nation. On this occasion, President SCCI met with Ambassador of Thailand H.E. Rongvudhi Virabutr, as well as the Ambassadors of Jordan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Hungary, and discussed opportunities for strengthened bilateral relations and future economic cooperation.

President SCCI, Junaid Altaf, attended the Uzbekistan-Pakistan Business Forum 2025 at Getz Pharma., Karachi, and held a productive discussion with Executive Chairman Getz Pharma, Mr. Khalid Mahmood, on strengthening pharmaceutical trade and future collaboration. He emphasized the importance of establishing a Getz Pharma manufacturing unit in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, enabling local pharmacists, skilled workforce, and industries to benefit from Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and enhancing the region’s export potential. Mr. Khalid Mahmood welcomed the proposal, expressing his interest in visiting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa soon to explore the possibility of setting up a production unit in the province.

President SCCI Junaid Altaf attended the 23rd Pharma Asia International Exhibition 2025 in Karachi as Chief Guest, where he visited various stalls, appreciated industry innovations, and distributed shields among participants for their remarkable contributions to Pakistan’s pharmaceutical sector. The engagement highlighted the strategic role of pharma exports, technological advancement, and industry collaboration in shaping the future of healthcare and economic growth.

Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem chaired a session at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) in collaboration with the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development - ICCD to discuss the upcoming Sustainable Tourism Forum & Expo (STFE). ICCD’s Director of Events Management and Grants Associate – International Relations briefed participants on the second edition of STFE, themed “Transforming Tourism for Community Development.” The event is scheduled to be held in January 2026 in Karachi, focusing on key tourism challenges and strengthening collaboration through B2B meetings. Former Senior Vice President, Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan, and participants from the business community also attended the session.

President SCCI, Junaid Altaf, attended the consultative session on the SME Development Program to discuss strategies for supporting small and medium enterprises. President SCCI Junaid Altaf participated in the National Day celebration of Romania held in Islamabad, representing the business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and engaging with foreign diplomats, government officials, and business leaders. On this occasion, President SCCI Junaid Altaf interacted with the Ambassador of Romania Dr. Dan Stoenescu, the EU Ambassador, the Jordanian Ambassador, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, CEO Peshawar Barracks, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, diplomats from various countries, and notable political and business personalities, discussing avenues for strengthening bilateral trade and cooperation.

During the visit, President SCCI Junaid Altaf and CEO Atif Hanif also signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening collaboration in business promotion, trade facilitation, Islamic financing solutions, skill development, and Halal industry support. The MoU outlines joint efforts in organizing trade events, capacity-building programs, and providing specialized facilitation and Shariah-compliant financial services for SCCI members. Vice President of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Sabir Ahmed Bangash, held a highly productive and pleasant meeting with the esteemed delegation from Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce. During the discussions, detailed deliberations took place on strategies to promote trade, imports, exports, and business cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. President SCCI Junaid Altaf officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mr. Hu Zhuling, President of the Pakistan-Hunan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHCCI). The MoU establishes a three-year framework for strategic collaboration aimed at boosting trade, investment, and industrial cooperation between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and China's Hunan province. This non-binding agreement will promote joint ventures in sectors like Agriculture, Mining, and Biotechnology, facilitate product showcasing, and introduce innovative training programs such as “Chinese Language + Vocational Skills.” The MoU signing ceremony was-attended by Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem, Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan, Executive Committee members, various members from the business community, and the President, SVP, and VP of the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Peshawar.

A delegation of the Pakistan Business Forum Peshawar, visited SCCI and met with President Junaid Altaf and Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed. A session organized by UNDP Pakistan in collaboration with the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on “Protecting Human Rights and Promoting Responsible Business Practices” was held at the Chamber House. The session was chaired by Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem. Executive Committee members, Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan, Presidents of Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Peshawar , and a large number of participants from the business community attended the session.    

A meeting was held at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry with CEO PESCO - Peshawar Electric Supply Company, chaired by Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem. The session focused on uninterrupted power supply, improvement of the transmission system, and separation of domestic and rural feeders from industrial and commercial ones. Senior Vice President of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Muhammad Nadeem, chaired a meeting with senior officials of Pakistan Railways at the Chamber House. During the meeting, the restoration of the export cargo train from Peshawar, reduction in freight charges, reactivation of railway advisory committees, and the operationalization of Azakhel Dry Port were discussed in detail. President SCCI, Mr. Junaid Altaf , held a constructive meeting with President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr. Usman Shoukat, to strengthen inter-chamber collaboration and promote trade and economic growth. Both presidents agreed on key initiatives, including joint executive meetings, a two-day members’ conference, an Ambassadors’ Conference in Nathia Gali, and enhanced departmental coordination to foster business linkages and investment opportunities.
