Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem chaired a session at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) in collaboration with the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development - ICCD to discuss the upcoming Sustainable Tourism Forum & Expo (STFE). ICCD’s Director of Events Management and Grants Associate – International Relations briefed participants on the second edition of STFE, themed “Transforming Tourism for Community Development.” The event is scheduled to be held in January 2026 in Karachi, focusing on key tourism challenges and strengthening collaboration through B2B meetings. Former Senior Vice President, Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan, and participants from the business community also attended the session.

President SCCI, Junaid Altaf, attended the consultative session on the SME Development Program to discuss strategies for supporting small and medium enterprises. Former Vice President and Executive Committee members, official from TDAP and SMEDA also participated, contributing their insights and expertise to the session.

During the comprehensive discussion, President SCCI Junaid Altaf briefed the Federal Minister on the skilled workforce of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as key sectors including gems, mines & minerals, pharmaceuticals, furniture, and marble. He also discussed the establishment of a modern Pharma Park on the model of Uzbekistan. Federal Minister Haroon Akhtar attentively listened to all points and provided detailed and satisfactory responses to the President’s questions. He also announced his planned visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, meetings with representatives of local industries, and assured that SCCI would be given top priority in all upcoming policies and engagements.

A meeting was held at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry with CEO PESCO - Peshawar Electric Supply Company, chaired by Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem. The session focused on uninterrupted power supply, improvement of the transmission system, and separation of domestic and rural feeders from industrial and commercial ones. Former Presidents, Former Vice Presidents, Chairman Anjuman Tajiran peshawar, Executive Committee Members, Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan, and officials from PESCO also participated in the meeting.
