SCCI’s office bearers take charge

PESHAWAR: Sherbaz Bilour, Engineer Manzoor Elahi and Junaid Altaf have taken charge as president, senior vice president and vice president of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Soon after assuming charge, Sherbaz Bilour reiterated his resolve that the issues of small traders and shopkeepers would be resolved on priority basis, calling to bring easiness for traders in tax-system, besides different taxes should be waived off for small traders and shopkeepers.

A large number of industrialists, traders’ and office bearers of different bazaars associations flock to the chamber and felicitated to the newly elected office bearers of the SCCI, prominent amongst them, include Ghazanfar Bilour, leader businessman forum, SAARC vice president Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, trader leader Mehr Elahi, former president Zulfiqar Ali Khan, Zahidullah Shinwari, Riaz Arshad, Adeel Rauf, Haji Mohammad Afzal, Abidullah Yousafzai, Saddar Gul, Faiz Rasool

The visitors warmly extended felicitations to the newly elected office bearers of the SCCI and expressed high optimism from them that they will play a pivotal role in resolving the business community on an urgent basis.

Sherbaz Bilour reaffirmed the commitment towards delivering selfless and indiscriminate services to the business community. He added that all resources would be utilized to take up the business community issues in a befitting manner with the government and other relevant authorities for their amicable resolution.

The objective and goals would be achieved by establishing close liaison and coordination with the traders and industrialists associations, the SCCI chief. He thanked the leadership of the businessman forum and business community for reposing confidence in him and assured that he will not disappoint them and would come up to their expectations.

Sherbaz Bilour said that despite the unfavorable conditions and Covid-19 phenomena, the business community had demonstrated firmness and steadfastness, for which it has deserved great admiration. He said the doors of SCCI will remain open for the business community.


SCCI chief stressed the need for establishment of close liaison and between industries and trade along with relevant governmental institutions. For this purpose, he said the coordination will be further strengthened with them.
