SCCI President vows to resolve business community issues on priority basis01 October 2019
Engr Maqsood Anwar Pervez, the newly-elected President of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has vowed to make rigorous efforts for the resolution of business community issues, and would formulate policies with consultations
Addressing at Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here at the chamber house, he said the holding office of SCCI president is a challenging task. But, he assured that they will not disappoint the business community and will fully try to come up with their expectations.
The SCCI AGM was attended by Businessman Leader and Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, outgoing president of the chamber, Faiz Muhammad Faizi, Senior Vice President Engr Saad Khan Zahid, Vice President Haris Mufti, the newly-elected Senior Vice president Shahid Hussain, Vice President Haji Abdul Jalil Jan, the chamber former presidents, executive committee members, the members of the SCCI Election Commission Malik Niaz Ahmad, Mohammad Iqbal and Abidullah Yousafzai, presidents and general secretaries of trade bodies, members of business community, businessman forum, traders and industrialists.
Engr Maqsood Anwar highly praised the traders and industrialists had continued their businesses despite unfavorable conditions and investment climate in the province, saying that the gaining relief for the terrorisms-hit businesses is the topmost priority. He said that the policies would be framed by making proper coordination and consultation with the business community and every possible measures will be taken to resolve their issues amicably.
He said the Businessman Forum leader Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour and businessmen elected him as president of SCCI unopposed by reposing full trust and assured them he will fully come up with their expectations.
On the occasion, Engr Maqsood Anwar put his targets set for next year before the business community and vowed that he will make all out efforts to achieve them. He stressed the need for bringing reforms in existing tax system, broadening of tax-base, industrialization and promotion of investment, giving respect to taxpayers to bring economic revolution in the country. He also called for exploiting the province’s rich potentials, boosting up trade with Afghanistan, Iran and China and other regional countries. Meanwhile, the SCCI outgoing president, Faiz Muhammad Faizi addressed the AGM spoke on the occasion.
